What to do when you have a power outage

When you experience a power outage, the first thing you want to do before calling Clay Electric is to:

Clay Electric sends crews to Georgia for hurricane restoration

On Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, Clay Electric Co-operative answered the call for assistance in restoring power to areas in southeastern Georgia that were in Hurricane Irma’s path of destruction. Linemen Dan Henderson, Matt Conklin, Adam Smith, and Forestry crew members Eric Moyer and Layton Molt all made the trip. They left their families and traveled with one bucket truck, one digger truck and one forestry truck for nine days. They worked tirelessly in southeast Georgia, almost to the Florida state line, putting in 16 plus hour days to restore the lines that were damaged.

CCECI organizational meeting of the board of directors

The organizational meeting of the Board of Directors of Clay Electric Co-operative, Inc. was held August 28, 2017 at the principal office of the Cooperative, R.F.D., in Flora, Illinois beginning at 7:00 0’clock p.m.

The following Trustees were present: Frank Czyzewski, Frank Herman, Kevin Logan, Bill Croy, Bob Pierson, Neil Gould, Richard Rudolphi, Danny Schnepper and Greg Smith. Also present were: Ed VanHoose, Executive V.P. General Manager and Tyra Cycholl, Attorney for the Board.

Tyra S. Cycholl presided throughout said meeting.

Regular meeting August 28, 2017

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of Clay Electric Co-operative, Inc. (CECI) was held at the principal office of the Cooperative, R.F.D., in Flora, Illinois beginning at 7:15 o’clock p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2017.

Winners of the Classroom Grant Program

Clay Electric Co-operative recently sent applications to area school districts encouraging teachers and administrators to apply for a Touchstone Energy Classroom Empowerment Grant in the amount of $200 to each district.

There was a total of five applications presented, and two were chosen from Flora and Clay City school districts.

Unclaimed capital credits

In order to process refunds for capital credit accounts, Clay Electric Co-operative is attempting to contact members, or their heirs, that received electric service during the years 1958 – 1961.
